Manual punching is a versatile sheet metal fabrication process used to create holes, slots, notches, and other features using dedicated punch-and-die tooling. The process provides a fast, efficient way to produce common features in individual parts and smaller production quantities without requiring CNC programming or laser processing.

South Bay Fabrication offers in-house manual punching as a flexible secondary fabrication capability. With a variety of available tooling, we can add punched features to sheet metal components as part of a larger fabrication project.
